The new year always brings an itch to declutter my house, going room by room, space by space. I think all of the excess holiday decor gets me hungry for some calm. I’m guessing you feel the same. But y’all. It seems so daunting to look at the whole house and think of all the spaces that need to be cleaned out. The rooms that need to be organized. The work it’ll take.
Usually what happens though is when I finally suck it up and get to decluttering my home the tasks are never as hard or take as long as I had imagined and built them up in my head. This year I decided to be a little more organized about my yearly spring purge and make a room by room, space by space checklist to use day to day. Instead of haphazardly attacking a spot here and there on a whim.
And I thought I’d drag you into it with me. What do ya think? Are you game to get organized? Don’t judge, I am sharing some not so pretty spaces in my home – keepin’ it real with y’all!
Now tell me in the comments below – what room/space do you need to declutter the most? What holds you back from tackling that space? What kind of decluttering questions do you have? Please let me know so I can answer them as we go through the tasks!
I created a free printable checklist for your decluttering needs (it’s down at the bottom of this post!) and I will be going live weekly to talk about a week’s worth of decluttering ideas to help you (and me) stay motivated. Tackling the whole house little by little will help us get a fresh start on getting rid of things we don’t need and love and then we will move on to rebuilding our homes with spaces and decor we ADORE!
You’ll want to download and print the pages found here (or click the download button below) to help guide you through our little cleaning adventure! I’m so excited to have you join me. You might want to pin this post for later so you can have it to go through again in a few months or next year! Next, keep scrolling for a list of projects you can look through and make with the items you have purged from your home!!!

I also love to declutter and organize after Christmas. But this year I want to do a much deeper decluttering. We have been in our house 12 years and I have managed to collect a lot of things that I think I really need. Right now my biggest area that needs help is my attic. I have a walk in attic that has managed to become the catch all.

Stuff piles up in no time, a walk in attic would be dreamy, but I can see how it would be easy to throw everything in there! Just go little by little and you can do it!
