I wanted to make some more modern and simple animals that would blend well with my neutral style. You guys know I LOVE silver and gold so I was super pumped about the new Chrome Decorative Paint Pens Rust-Oleum just came out with. These colors are perfect for my home! You can find these crafty pens at HOBBY LOBBY starting August 2021 – as if we need another reason to go to Hobby Lobby, LOL!
I suggest you start of practicing on some scrap paper first, just to get the feel or the paint pen and play around with the different tips and edges you can use for your crafts. That is the COOLEST thing about these pens! The tip is reversible! Say what? Yep – you can use the chisel tip or remove the tip, flip it, and use the bullet tip. Plus, the chisel tip can make thin or thick lines, you can manipulate it a bunch of ways.
The Chrome Paint Pens leave a solid, metallic finish with amazing coverage. Coverage is important because you don’t want to have to re-trace lines, it messes up your design. It’s best to get a nice clean line off the bat. Chrome/metallic is always a winner, it always looks high end to me. When you are drawing your animal faces try to use a firm, confident hand and don’t pick up the pen mid-line, complete each line then move to the next. The great thing about these pots is they are pretty inexpensive and if you mess up you can create something different on them or you can toss it and try again! Looks like sometimes life imitates art, or is it art imitating life? 🤣😹 Boo is such a photo hog- I promise, he just gets in the mix all on his own!
I hope you love the free printable I have to get you started, be sure to grab these awesome new paint pens at Hobby Lobby and get to creating precious pots! They are perfect for back to school teacher gifts, party favors, housewarming presents and hostess gifts. Keep a little stock on hand and you always have a cute vessel to throw a plant in for a thoughtful gift idea!
