I think silver adds such gorgeous age and patina to a home, bringing on an instant cozy vibe like a pair of worn in jeans. You can find it second hand at thrift stores, garage sales and flea markets, often for very little cost. I snatch up pieces all the time! Here is how I like to use silver in my home decor.

I have been collecting silver plate chargers for a couple of years to use as chargers when I host holiday dinners. They can be polished and are beautiful under my fine china. I have been considering making a large wreath to use over my sideboard at Christmas but just not certain how to construct it. Any suggestions?

Hi Kim, Our neighbor gave us silver silverware for taking care of his house and yard when he had to move in with his daughter. It’s not a complete set and I really don’t want to use it for holidays. I’m trying to figure out what to do with it since it’s sitting in a box under a bed.

How do you hang those platters on your wall?

I have a LOT of silver and my favorite cleaner is MAAS. I think it can be ordered from Walmart.
