I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again- vintage-inspired flashcards for decorating are absolutely precious and seriously so easy to do yourself. And what could make this already amazing decor hack even better??? FRENCH Christmas Flashcards!! Are you kidding me? Anything’s better when it’s French-inspired… and just to make sure all the info is 100% accurate and even based off of ACTUAL French sayings, I consulted a local.
The local is actually more than that- I’m lucky enough to call her my friend!! I met her through blogging many moons ago and we chat weekly over Facebook messenger. She’s a gem of a person AND she just so happens to live IN France. So, rest assured, the insight on these sayings is GOOD!
Now let’s get to it…
what you’ll need
easiest holiday decor diy
And just when you thought it can’t get any better… this is seriously the easiest Holiday decor to “make.” I almost hesitate to even use the word “make!” Simply print out the French Christmas flashcards and cut them out. You can cut them into rectangles and leave it like that, but I tend to round my edges. The actual flashcards I’ve gotten while out thrifting are usually like that, so I stick to what I know.
After cutting them out and picking your favorite (or using them all), use the dark furniture wax or brown paint to rough them up a bit. Go around the edges, you can even go over the flashcard a bit if you’d like- your choice.
…And we’re done! Now, you’ve got GORGEOUS French-inspired Christmas decor, and it didn’t cost you a dime!! It shouldn’t have taken you more than about 5-10 minutes either!! You can’t beat it!
If you loved these flashcards, and want to snag some for Fall- I’ve got you covered there too! There’s not french, but they are gorgeous!! See those HERE!
