I am definitely a Fall girl– but I do love me some Summer! It may be my second favorite season if I had to put them in order, but it really is hard to do that, they all have their things, you know! There’s good and bad things about any and every season, but the warm sunshine and late nights of Summer definitely have a piece of my heart!
The biggest problem I always run into with Summer is the decor! Fall, Winter, and Spring have so many fun holidays between Halloween, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Valentine’s day, Easter, on and on… which makes it really easy to just rotate through seasonal decor! And I do have neutral decor that’s not necessarily season-specific, but it is fun to keep it ever-changing, make the decor match the mood outside!
That’s where the watermelon decor comes in here! Let me explain– I know Summer has some great holidays between Memorial Day and July 4th, but those come and go so quickly it seems. I can’t keep red, white, and blue around my house for longer than a month or so– because well, it’s loud!
So here I am all Summer, kind of stuck with my plain decor, and I’m over it, something needs to change! I was thinking and even though I don’t necessarily want watermelons anywhere and everywhere in and around my home, it could be really fun to sprinkle it here and there! Just little moments of bright and cheery when I look around! So with that being said, I gathered some ideas for you to sprinkle Summer into your life, without being too overbearing!
