So often quotes and song lyrics get trapped in my head.
Does that happen to you?
Like a dry sponge soaking up water the words grow and take up space in my mind.
Sometimes they make me laugh but mainly they make me think.
People are so insightful and I love thinking on the artistic ways others express their thoughts.
So I decided to start sharing one quote a month…to make you ponder or giggle or whatever emotion it may stir. Everyday you can find them at the very bottom of my blog or in the Of The Month tab in the menu. Here is the April entry:
Country music is a never ending source for snippets of wisdom and this 90’s classic is no different.
Do you remember this song? For me it’s a flashback to high school and college. Big hair and baggy jeans. I even skipped prom to go to a Mark Chesnutt concert.
It’s a happy little ditty about livin’ it up for all things important because you can’t take it with you when you go!
Any other country fans out there? Or fun 90’s memories?
Be sure to share or save this picture as a fun reminder to build up eternal treasures.

Love this! Isn’t it funny how the words from a country song, a bible verse, or just some quote out there take on new meanings over the years as we grow and change? Hope you are well!
The Queen in Between
yes…looking back things are totally different now! I love how things change, really nothing can get old!
I love that quote and it’s such a good one for us all to remember! Have a great weekend!!
Big Texas Hugs,
Susan and Bentley
you too! Thanks for stopping by!
I love the quote and I try to remember that. You have a country music fan here and have been since Willie was wearing suits. Does anyone remember that far back.
I totally remember that…my parents were fans before I got on board 🙂 love Willie
Giggles and #truth
How fun! Saw this on Instagram and had to pop over. Been awhile. If I could count the number of times a song pops in my head from the past and stays there for days on end, I’d be a rich woman. I do love this quote. Marking this one. Do you do link parties? If so, link up over at Party at My Place, still going on and share this with others if you don’t mind.
So glad you came by! I do parties when I get a chance and will certainly visit yours soon!
