There's a reason my bedroom hasn't made the home tour on my blog yet. I can never get the bed right. I have the hardest time dressing a bed. Isn't that silly!? The master bedroom seems to get pushed down the decorating to do list in comparison to the rest of the house. Even more often it is a landing spot for all the odd and end furniture and trinkets that don't go anywhere else. My bedroom décor just never seems to come together. Anybody else feel like that? Recently I got to visit ... continue reading...

The Ladysmith Look: Pattern and Texture
Earlier this week I introduced you to Miranda Lambert's Ladysmith hotel. Today I'm back with a deeper peek into the space and the design that makes it tick. I suspect part of the reason I am draw to this place is the fact it's a few steps removed from what you see in a regular home. It was never created to be a homey type space, but an adventure. It isn't everyday you get to experience décor so fun and bold. While some parts are more than I could handle at home, there is so much I'd like to ... continue reading...
The Ladysmith Look: A Spin Around Miranda Lambert’s Bed & Breakfast
read all about our getaway to Miranda Lambert's bed & breakfast hotel, The Ladysmith in Tishomingo, Oklahoma. My sweet husband surprised me for Christmas by booking a getaway to Miranda Lambert's bed & breakfast hotel, The Ladysmith in Tishomingo, Oklahoma. He knows my heart and speaks my language. Six Truths on Adopting Greyhounds
Six Truths on Adopting a Greyhound I hope you'll allow me to get off the DIY/Décor topic today about something near and dear to my heart that goes way back. I've had a love affair with Greyhounds since I was a little girl. Usually the things we love today thread back to our childhood. An old friend surfaced last Spring when my mom pulled out boxes of my childhood Barbies while purging out her attic. I was a die hard Barbie girl that meticulously organized all the dolls, clothes and ... continue reading...

Adding Farmhouse Patina: A Stool Makeover
Recently I realized my beloved desk chair was causing me so much neck pain because it was too low... there had to be a better way. So I set my sights on adding farmhouse patina to a drab little stool. This cheap brown stool peeked around the corner and said, "what about me?" This little stool sat pushed in the corner. It went un-noticed for years. I never could bring myself to use it or throw it away. And what do you know!? He fits perfectly under my desk cabinet and is tall enough ... continue reading...
Magnolia Market Inspired Kitchen Message Board
This week I'm showcasing a Magnolia Market inspired kitchen message board fashioned from old fence pickets, because y'all...I'm still so inspired by my trip to Magnolia Market. All the crates and bottles and greenery... The farmhouse style that Joanna Gaines has helped catapult into the decorating Hall of Fame is so fun to me because it is a style that can easily be replicated on the tightest of budgets. Proving that your pockets don't have to be deep to be stylish. I love ... continue reading...
