Adding Age With Architectural Elements: 10 Ideas

Decorating with Architectural Elements

If you are like me (and I think you are a touch or you wouldn’t be here 😉 )you like old stuff. Old houses, old people, old ways. The thing is we can’t always have an old house or expensive old antiques. But we can add age to our new stuff with architectural elements from days past. Here are a few fun ways you can easily add some random thrifted finds to add instant age to your home and surroundings.Adding age with architectural elements is a simple and inexpensive way to add a vintage feel to your home and décor.

Whenever I hit the fields at Round Top I am drawn to rusty old wrought iron and spindly chunks of architecture. One of the last pieces I collected sat in the closet waiting a resting place for quite some time until it’s new home hit me. Look for little spots in your house calling for a twinkle of patina. Great ideas! I love your iron piece in your kitchen 🙂 I have an old iron gate attached to the wall on my patio and it’s now a trellis for a jasmine plant 🙂
