I thought it would be good to share some wooden bowl decor ideas with you guys because this is an item I see all the time in thrift stores and garage sales. You know the old wooden salad bowl or wooden serving dishes shaped like fruit and vegetables? I LOVE these old wooden bowls and there are lots of ways you can use them in your decor besides serving a leafy green salad! I hope these ideas give you some fresh eyes for the wooden bowls you probably have in your kitchen cabinets right now!
Today is even more fun though because I am bringing along a whole set of friends! My friend Julie from Redhead Can Decorate Blog hosts a Thrifty Style Team each month to share our thrifty finds and projects, she asked me to join the team and of course I said YES! I love all the ladies in this group, they are so creative and love the same things we do – so y’all will enjoy checking them out. You can get a full list of the teammates and their projects at the bottom, go check them out!
Amazing Ways to use wooden bowls in your decorating
- Decorate with it as is on a table – empty and as is!
- Nestle it into a plate rack for a warm texture change up
- Use them in bookshelves
- Use them under a candle for an extra layer of gorgeousness
- They make beautiful coffee table decor, fill with pinecones, decorative spheres, old photos or tiny glass jars
- Make them into a planter
- Use them to corral keys and pocket junk
- Paint the inside with chalkboard paint for a note board
- Paint them trendy colors
- Hang them in a gallery wall (or if it’s a large piece use it solo!)
- Actually serve salad, rolls or other food items in them!
