Tips To Host A Fun & Productive Paint Party: Breakfast Casserole Recipe

Touch Up Paint Party with a Casserole Recipe For A Bunch

Ya’ll may think I lost my mind. I’m sure when my girlfriends opened their e-mail from me that’s what they thought. BUT…I might have hit on a borderline brilliant idea to tackle some of those daunting household tasks you have on your to-do list! Big thanks to Sherwin-Williams Paint for sponsoring this little soiree! I received paint from Sherwin-Williams as compensation for this post, all opinions and ideas are completely mine though! There are also affiliate links in this post (that just means if you make a purchase I mat receive a small commission but your price stays exactly the same – thanks!)Throw a paint party brunch with the girls to tackle those not so fun to-do list taks! In return I promised them good food and good girl talk. I encouraged grubby clothes for the occasion. Low and behold, it worked!Throw a paint party brunch with the girls to tackle those not so fun to-do list taks! My house was in desperate need of some paint touch up TLC. It’s plain old gross how dirty your walls get in a short amount of time, especially with three kids, a dog and a cat running laps around the joint! I will fully admit I was a little worried about this event. Opening up my dirt and grim for people to actually look for was rough. Plus I was asking friends to help with a task that may or may not be seen as super fun. My entire house is painted in Sherwin-Williams colors and when I told my friends at SW I needed to freshen up they quickly gave me some paint to do the trick. I had long ago ran out of some of my touch up colors and was worried about the new paint not matching. Throw a paint party brunch with the girls to tackle those not so fun to-do list taks! The Emerald line of paint went on all my interior wall touch ups and was wonderful. Full coverage and it matched my old paint perfectly, yayyy. The Snap Dry is certainly named correctly. My sweet friend had the task of repainting the threshold on our high traffic door area with this paint. She was on guard as friends came and went through the door, but that paint was dry in a flash! I even painted one extra coat later while my kids where home and didn’t have to worry about them running through it wet because it dried so fast! Can I just tell you how much fun it was and how well received the get together was by my girls. Everyone showed up in paint clothes, messy hair and sans makeup. That’s friends right there! They all said painting was relaxing and as we mindlessly slapped paint on grimy walls we caught up and shared life. The party started with a small brunch buffet waiting on them when they arrived. I had all the paint supplies ready and had a task list worked out in my mind. We chatted, ate and sipped Mimosas for about an hour or more and then I doled out paint brushes and job descriptions. The painting part only took about an hour and my whole house was touched up. Talk about a win-win situation! Fun with friends and chores done, I’ll take that any day.Throw a paint party brunch with the girls to tackle those not so fun to-do list taks! The best part of the whole thing was the promise I made to each of my four friends…that I would return the favor of tackling a to-do list task at their home! Now I know I have four fun days to help my girlfriends waiting in my future. I wish I would have gotten more action shots, but we really were busy having fun and working. If you want to host a get together like this I have a great recipe and supply list to make your brunch go off without a hitch!Throw a paint party brunch with the girls to tackle those not so fun to-do list taks! Paint Party Supply & Check List:

Have all your paint colors ready ( I will soon post a list of my whole house paint colors, my friends were asking, so you may be curious too!)

Paint brushes for everyone (possibly more than one per person if you have a lot of colors to touch up)

Plastic cups – I poured everyone a small amount of paint in a plastic cup for them to work out of

Ladle – sounds funny but it’s great for scooping paint into plastic cups!

Old rags – messes will happen so be ready with wet rags to wipe up drips and spills

Drop cloths – You may want drop cloths for your friends. I rolled the dice and went without

Stir Sticks to mix up old paint

Game plan – Have what you would like done mapped out and decide who will get what task. You will see your friends are happy to help if just given a little direction!Throw a paint party brunch with the girls to tackle those not so fun to-do list taks! Paint Party Brunch Menu:

Pan Breakfast Casserole (recipe below)

Yogurt cups – I coated tea cups with honey then scooped Fage total plain yogurt (it’s the creamiest) on top, drizzled a little more honey and topped with crunchy granola, your guests may want to add fruit.

Fruit salad – simple mix of seasonal fruit cut up bite size

Mimosas – Orange Juice and Champagne, I like to have fruit available to drop in

Coffee and waterThrow a paint party brunch with the girls to tackle those not so fun to-do list taks! Grab a delicious Pan Breakfast Recipe and tips to have a fun and productive paint party!

Pan Breakfast Casserole Recipe:

1LB Ground Sausage

1 Can Crescent Rolls

8 Eggs

1/3 Cup Milk

Salt & Pepper to taste

1 Cup Mozzarella Cheese

9X11 Pan

  • Brown sausage, spread rolls into bottom of 9X11 pan and top with cooked sausage
  • Mix eggs and milk with salt and pepper, pour over sausage
  • Sprinkle grated Mozzarella cheese on top
  • Bake at 450° for 15-20 minutes.
