50 Things to Do If You Are Bored

- Finish this sentence: I’ve always wanted to learn_____________. (now is the time!)
- I wish I were________________. (make this happen!)
- I always wanted to ______________. (work on it now!)
- Plan a vacation for when the time comes. Don’t book it, but take the time to research all the places you want to go. Make lists of restaurants, sights to see, events and expeditions.
- Take time to declutter your home. I have some free print outs to help you!
- Watch some makeup tutorials and practice now when you don’t have anywhere to go.
- Try a -new game, here is a great list to get you started.
- Start exercising. We love Beach Body on Demand, especially the T25 workouts. My husband has been doing them for years now and he looks amazing! Hubba Hubba!
- Cook your way through your favorite cook book.
- Indulge in a candle a month club for yourself. Now is a brilliant time for self care perfection!
- Try a new hair tutorial. Practice now while you have the time.
- Look for a dog park, or somewhere fun to take your furry friend for a new outing.
- Get dressed for no reason. Spend some extra time in your closet planing outfits so you have some fresh looks to flaunt. Make a list of new items you need in your wardrobe and see how many outfits you can stretch with what you have!
- Do a puzzle.
- Teach yourself a foreign language.
- Start Bible journaling.
- Plant a garden. Here is how you can create raised beds if you have small space or bad soil!
- Work on your family tree. Start with an Ancestory.com DNA test.
- Learn a new art technique. Like Paint by Numbers for GROWN UPS!
- Binge watch Call The Midwife (a personal favorite) or some other kind of feel good show!
- Have a spa day for yourself at home. Use all the good bubble bath and a fun face mask.
- Sort your photos and make a scrapbook. Digital or paper, either way, get those memories written and photos organized for generations to come.
- Pick wildflowers. Or at least pick some up at the grocery. Make a beautiful arrangement.
- Share the gospel with a stranger. Use these cards to share a treat and the word.
- Play an app game with a friend. Try Scramble With Friends, Dice with Buddies, Mario Kart Go, Uno, 8 Ball Pool, Scrabble Go, Yahtzee, Matching with Friends,
- Get ahead on Christmas shopping!
- Write a letter. Reach out to loved ones for no reason but to say hi and I’m thinking of you!
- Learn a Tik Tok dance.
- Write a book or short story.
- Wash all the linens in your house, pillow, slipcover, rugs. All the stuff you don’t normally have time for.
- Bake something.
- Color. Adult coloring is so therapeutic! (there are some awesome color pages in my Bible journaling books!)
- Read a book. Here are some of my favorites.
- Ride your bike or go on a walk.
- Start listening to podcasts or find a new favorite.
- Volunteer – Research your favorite skill and see what opportunities there are for you to serve. There are tons of ways to serve from home!
- Start a miniature project. I promise nothing will be more fun than a remodeled dollhouse or miniature room.
- Practice your photography. Take pictures of your home, pets, garden, whatever and work on the elements of good photography.
- Learn a video game and play with your kids or grandkids.
- Have a classic movie marathon…think Gone with The Wind, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, etc.
- Start the blog or online business you’ve been thinking about. Here is a great course!
- Make your favorite holiday dishes even though it’s not the holidays.
- Monogram something. Everything.
- Pray.
- Learn to do your own dip nails. We did and it’s really easy and a huge money saver.
- Expand your coffee bar selections and make some new hot beverage treats like the coffee shops make.
- Adopt a pet. We are partial to pound puppies and rescue dogs.
- Learn to paint door hangers.
- Do word puzzles, crossword puzzles, Sudoku and the like.
- Start a new playlist. Try I-Tunes Family Sharing, Spotify or Pandora.
