Texas Snowballs

This post may contain affiliate links.

A white Christmas is a rare sight in our neck of the woods. In an effort to channel the snowy feel of a place that actually gets four seasons we made our own Texas Snowballs. They are easy, old fashioned fun. texas snowball

You will need:

1 – 10 oz. bag of marshmallows

1 (or 2 depending on how gooey you like ’em) bags of microwave popcorn, or the equivalent fresh popcorn, which is what we used

1/4 Cup butter

salt to taste

optional: M&M’s, peanuts, sprinkles, any candy you love

Melt the butter and marshmallows over medium heat, add popcorn and salt. Add any additional surprises that make you happy. Stir till it is a wonderful gooey mess. Coat your hands with butter and form your snowballs. This is as close to a snowball fight as we are getting y’all!
