I love bringing the outside in, no matter the season– but in Fall, it’s THAT much better! All of the fall colors are so cozy, they make me want to snuggle up with a soft blanket and a warm drink! The statement “Fall Colors” can, of course, be widely interpreted, and will mean something different to everyone, but I’m talking true colors of Fall– nature’s colors for the most beautiful painting!
This is an easy space to add a little Fall in, without it being overwhelming! Cotton, in my opinion, spans many seasons– and Fall is one of them! Honestly, I’m not sure if there’s a season where cotton wouldn’t work! Besides the point. It’s mixed in with some neutral colors, bottle brushes, a white mug, a black and white tea towel, and then fun textures come in to play!
A cheese grater is SO perfect, it’s got some nice texture and it’s a different surface as well. It’s good at letting other pieces have the spotlight but it doesn’t blend in too much. And then a wooden meat tenderizer! Again, texture and fun right here! It’s interesting enough not to be forgotten but just dull enough to not steal the show!
And last but certainly not least, the little mushroom my mom made me! It’s very “Fall,” has a sweet pop of color, and it special to my heart! This pegboard is such a subtle way to nod to Fall, and I simply adore it!! I added a few other things around the space to give it that extra kick– a pumpkin bowl, and my little rooster complete the look!
As for the island, I love me a tiered tray! It looks good from all sides, and is overall just easy to throw some things on!
I mixed in many of my favorites!!! Buttons, pecans, seeds, glass jars! It’s a hub for all things Kim essentially! I also happen to think stacking things can grab the eye, so you know I had to throw some brown transferware on here!
Brown bottles, once again– great for every season, but love them for Fall! I happened to stuff some of these with cotton and feathers. Nature is my jam!
Feathers feel very fall to me, so I tried to focus on those and decorate keeping those at the forefront of my mind! Silver of course, has to be in the mix, and a good ole tea towel never disappoints– or maybe 3! There’s no rules here, friend!
The star of the show– this Pate dish I got while in France!!! YES PLEASE! They had a community flea market while I was there and this baby caught my eye right away! Such a find, I love showing it off!!
I’ll give you the secret to Fall decorating right here friend– use what you have & never forget to check out your backyard! You may find some pretty nature that’ll turn into even prettier decor!
