Sooo, Mother’s Day is right around the corner, and even though I am a mother, I also have a mother, so I know how stressful it can be to think of Mother’s Day Gift ideas. But, I’m here to help make it as easy as possible– because once again, as a mom myself, I can say it’s mostly the thought that counts. Don’t get me wrong, I love the homemade cards my kids used to make me, and I’m sure my Mom did, too– but we all outgrow that and have to get real gifts at some point in our life. I imagine if you’re here reading this blog post, you’re in that category!
Here are some of my favorite, sure-to-make-your-mom-smile, Mother’s Day gift Ideas:
- Perfume- Now who doesn’t love a good perfume? Plus, we all need it, and I love to get it as a gift! I don’t like spending money on it myself, but I will if I have to, you know!? My favorite is La Vie Est Belle from Lancome but my mom’s favorite is Crystal Gardenia from KKW. Truthfully, both are great options, and I don’t think you can go wrong! And your mom may already have a favorite, so you can just get her all stocked for the coming months!!!
- A Stanley Cup- No, not the hockey one! Stanley makes these gorgeous, extremely useful cups that come in so many different colors and sizes. My favorite is the 40 oz because it doesn’t need to be filled up all that often, and with the handle, it’s so convenient! Plus, these babies fit in most car cupholders which is a struggle of mine, and I can appreciate that these go anywhere and everywhere with me! So, if your mom doesn’t already have a go-to water bottle, this one may be perfect for her.
- Kimono- I can never say enough good things about kimonos. Most of the time, these are going to be one size fits all, which is such a win for gift-giving! I hate when I have to ask for a size, because I don’t want to give anything away! Plus, it’s no fun to give a gift that ends up not fitting– then you have to take it back and get something else, and even hope that they have the same thing!!! Here’s a link to one of my FAVORITES from the Mercantile, but you can shop all the kimonos here!
- Gel Nail Polish Kit– Okay, this one my be a tough sell, but I know my mom loves to look her best– and she may go for the occasional manicure or two. And that may be the route to go for your mom– visit the local nail salon, grab a gift certificate and go. But for mine, I’d like to give her a gift that keeps on giving! She can use this for years to come, and it’s even something we can do together, or she could do with my daughter! I love gifts like that, they offer experiences!!!
- Forget the Flowers this year– Okay, flowers have always been “the thing” to give someone, at a graduation, a birthday, valentine’s day, and of course, mother’s day! But flowers are such a short-lived gift, you get them, give them, and they die not long after! This year, get your mom something that will last!!! We have a gorgeous, preserved boxwood wreath that sits on a wicker backing, and boy oh boy is it THE GIFT! This wreath will last for years to come, and can be used and moved in so many different places around the home! Truly a special, unique, exclusive, gift!
- Journal– The greatest gift, I believe, that we can give someone, is something that makes their relationship with Jesus stronger. And this journal, offered by a dear friend of mine, is just that! Plus, use code SALVAGEDLIVING20 to get 20% off this journal and anything else you want from this wonderful site!
- Lipstick- I absolutely adore these Maybelline lipsticks, and I am always getting asked about them! They stay so well, even when I eat, and they are so reasonably-priced! Now, lipstick on its own may not be enough of a gift for your special mom, BUT there’s a few ideas I have for that! You can get your mom lipstick as a side gift– like a kimono and lipstick, or a journal and lipstick, OR you could stock her up on lipstick for the next year!!!! Buy your mom a variety of like 5 lipsticks, and then she can alternate every weekday!
- Bracelets or other Jewelry– My mom is the QUEEN of mixing and matching bracelets– And I absolutely LOVE it!!! Often, bracelets come in a set or something, but my mom follows her OWN rules, and almost never wears the bracelet as it comes! I think she enjoys the fun she has doing it, and the way she can alter almost anything to go with what she wants to wear, but she just looks awesome when she does it! Plus, at that moment, she is wearing the ONLY bracelet, in the world (I would think), that looks like that!
- Grande Lash– I have talked about this product SO MANY times lately, and honestly and truly, it’s just that good! Now, I know, you might think– it’s a strange gift! But let me tell you something, what woman doesn’t want to have long, luscious lashes? Every woman does– but we aren’t all willing to drop $65 on it– so treat your mom to something she would never buy for herself!!! Some self care!!!
- Tea Subscription– Okay, last but certainly not least!! My grandmother was from the UK, so in this family, we value our tea time!!! My mom has tea every single day, and I love it too! It’s pretty healthy for you, gives me some energy when I need it, and overall is a treat! But how fun would it be for your mom to get some tea each month from you? Seriously, a gift that KEEPS on giving!!!
I hope you found some great gift ideas for Mother’s Day (or for yourself!). If you are a mom – hats off to you for all the hard work you put in behind the scenes everyday. You are a GEM! Hugs to my fellow mamas out there!
