When I shared about junkin in Small Town USA I mentioned local hardware stores. Often the hardware store is a combo job…hardware/feedstore/auto parts, etc. Our deer lease is close to Junction, Texas which is a precious little blink of a town. They have a combo store I’m quite found of. I found this nifty little key chain there. Well, it wasn’t really a key chain, but some sort of horse tackle gear or something. It was hanging out in a section of items I know nothing about. But it spoke to me. It said, ” I want to hold your keys. You can latch me to stuff. I’m brass, which you know you love. Plus, I’m sturdy and cheap…only three dollars!” So I HAD to buy it. You just have to think outside of the box a bit. That’s why I always say – go where you don’t always go. Travel new paths. Shop in different kinds of stores, ones you know nothing about. Do what others don’t. Then you will find the things that make you – YOU!
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I –
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
