Fall is in the air and I couldn’t be more ready!! As the cooler air creeps in, so do oranges and browns and creams and pumpkins– it doesn’t get much better than Fall decorating! And if you know me, you know I’m all about cozy, curated and vintage, and my main goal is always to make my home a safe, comfortable place for my family and friends to land. With that being said though, I’m also all about easy and sensible, budget-friendly ideas that don’t put more stress on you during an already sometimes stressful season!
I find it’s not as hard as we sometimes may think it is to spruce up a space, or change it as the seasons do. My breakfast table is the perfect example of this! We use it every single day, so it needs to be something we can live in and around, but also something that brings a smile to our face when we sit down for dinner. Kinda funny it’s called a breakfast table but we use it for all of our meals, right!? Total sidebar!
Nonetheless, check out 2 of my Fall tables I’ve been playing around with this year!
table #1
Silver is always a yes, any time of year, but these silver chargers are so absolutely beautiful mixed in with all of the yellows, browns, and natural elements here!
A couple little pillow updates definitely do the trick to change your space! Quick tip: Grab some standard size pillow inserts and stock up on decorative pillow covers! They quickly transform a space and they are SO easy to store!
Something I think is often forgotten about– you can use a wreath as a centerpiece, too, not just the usual door-hanger! It makes for a full look and instantly brings it to life! Since this is a small table, and we need the room, I placed the wreath on a cake stand! Not only does this mean we get to keep some space to actually eat, but giving height to anything also gives it more importance and brings your eyes to it!
Lastly, in the spirit of keeping it simple, I took one floral print down and added this grateful board. I honestly think I could’ve left my floral gallery wall as it was, but at the same time, I think the grateful board ties it all together well! And I’m a fan of little changes every now and then!
Table #2
With this table, I kept it pretty simple again! Same table runner (that my Mom made for me a long time ago, thanks Mom), same amazingly beautiful silver chargers, and same pillows!
The grateful board made its way from the wall to my centerpiece to change up the textures and break up the space some! As you may know, I’m always a fan of natural so I took an otherwise ordinary vase, stuffed it full of pecans and the best thing ever– Nature right from my backyard! And of course, can’t go wrong with some candlestick holders!
Both of these tables consisted of only a few small changes, and were so easy to do! Decor doesn’t have to be hard or expensive in order to be beautiful and anyone who says otherwise is plain wrong in my book!
I’d love to hear which tablescape is your favorite, and hopefully you got some ideas to go decorate your table next!
