Dollhouse Vintage Glam Girls Bedroom
The dollhouse finally got a vintage glam girls room fixed up and I want to move in! This room is small and full but has such cute little ideas to mix soft and bold with new and old decor. Big thanks to HBS Miniatures.com for providing the furniture for this room! PLUS we want to see YOUR dollhouse! I will tell you below how you can show us for a chance to win a $25 gift card to their website…
Since my daughter played with this house almost as much as I did growing up I really wanted the girls room to reflect her. She is in love with all things coral so I new that color had to be worked in. She is sitting on the brink of teenager-hood and that meant a fun flirty room was in order! I started with this precious, classic white bed with a trundle pull out from hbsminiatures.com – perfect for sleepovers! The bedding that came on the bed was a touch too little girl, so I updated it with crisp white sheets, a ruffled coral comforter and DIY gold floral pillows.
The walls in this room proved a challenge and I am here to show you things don’t always turn out as planned in the world of DIY! I wanted to add texture to the walls and after I painted my plastered walls they started to peel. I decided that they looked a lot like an old home with plaster walls and for now, they are staying this way, but I will likely scrap them down and do something different in time. I do adore the fabric covered wall – houndstooth makes me happy and the soft grey and white is perfect for vintage glam! It’s a keeper. I starched it, used Mod Podge to apply it and then cut the window out with an Exacto knife.
Above the bed I made a wood panel out of wooden sticks from the dollar store, glued them together and stained them. Nest I wrote hello on a piece of white cardboard and mounted it for some graphic style.
Much like I would in my own home I used a broken bed headboard and turned it into a wall hanging coat rack, perfect for girly things like scarves and clothes to dangle from. The peg hooks are also broken bits of furniture salvaged and painted gold.
Above the dresser is a giant tissue flower painted with gold touches to mimic the bed pillows. It is literally made from Kleenex tissues! I just ruffled and layered till it was big and full, using super glue to hold it together quick and easy. I love the unexpected texture and dimension it adds to the room and I think my girl would like on for real!
The rug is a cut up wash cloth.
Perhaps my favorite touch is the dollhouse inside the dollhouse! I found it on hbsminiatures.com along with cute girl bedroom accessories like the tennis rack and cell phone.
Once again I had a blast coming up with a cute room to add to my childhood dollhouse, there are so many ways to decorate and it’s fun to go a little crazy in this small space. I hope you enjoyed this room, next time the hallway and master bedroom!!! Be sure to check out the rest of the house – it’s so cute!
Now – show us your dollhouse. I love seeing the makeovers and creative ideas you have! Head over to this Facebook post and post a picture for a chance to win a $25 gift card to HBSMiniatures.com and a chance to be featured on their Facebook page. It’s that easy!

Love all of your ideas ! Husband had removed all the wasp nests and I ran outside to grab them out of the trash, he said he didn’t know that I wanted them. I told him I didn’t either until this morning !

Yay – I didn’t tell y’all but the wasp nest I framed is from my son’s little BFF. He found it and told his mom he wanted to save it for me because he knew I would love it! I adore them all
