Dollar Store Monogrammed Clear Tote Bag

This dollar store tote bag is perfect for sporting events!

EEEK, I LOVE this project! It started off when I was looking for a cute bag to monogram as a birthday gift for my kid’s friends. I was looking at the normal places like Target but found nothing young and fun. I ran by the dollar store (99 Cent  Only Store to be exact) to grab something completely different and happened across these precious clear tote bags! Mind you they were a dollar store “splurge” at $3.99 but seriously, are you kidding?! How cute are they!?

Nowadays you need a clear tote bag for football games and sporting events in most large stadiums, but I used these little bags to make a fun summer gift. My son and daughter both had birthday parties to go to, so I gathered initials and busted out my Cricut machine. You can follow along my tutorial on how to make a monogram here.  For this particular project, I just added a fun decorative circle and used the circle cut files for the letters (see the source in the supply list below). An inexpensive dollar store tote bag gets a cute makeover with a personalized monogram, perfect for summer gift or football game clear tote bag! You will look great by the pool or beach with this clear bag!

For a summer fun birthday gift I added a beach towel and cute summer drinking cup for perfect poolside style. Of course I grabbed a clear bag for me and monogrammed it in Texas A&M maroon with my favorite houndstooth pattern! Now I am ready for football season. My number one tip on finding great stuff at the dollar store is go…FREQUENTLY! The good stuff goes fast and the good dollar stores move things in and out quickly. An inexpensive dollar store tote bag gets a cute makeover with a personalized monogram, perfect for summer gift or football game clear tote bag!
