Grab Yourself a Cute Graphic T-shirt for Summer!
You may not know this but this little blog has a an online shop that goes with it. The Salvaged Living Mercantile is an extension of Salvaged Living Blog. You see, for me a faith filled home is an extension of a faith filled person. When I take care of myself and dress cute or surround myself with decor that makes me happy it lifts my spirit. That may seem a touch worldly, but I believe we are to live life full and that includes enjoying beautiful things, just not making them our idols. In the midst of this crazy virus pandemic getting dressed, doing my hair, wearing make-up and cute jewelry has helped me to feel human. I thought it’d be fun to show you some cute t-shirts that I carry right now in the Mercantile. Jeans and a great t-shirt are basically my uniform so I’m partial to this comfy look! Maybe a new casual outfit is just the thing you need to have a little more pep in your step!
Here are some cute graphic t-shirts along with fun ways to style them for a great outfit, especially for ladies over 40 like me! I feel like dressing cute at my age treads a thin line between trying to look like a teeny bopper and a grandma. I want to look hip without looking like I’m trying too hard. I want to wear comfortable clothing that is flattering to my widening hips and forgiving to my post three children belly…can you relate? I hope my casual cozy style can inspire you to try some new outfits in your closet or maybe see a few things you can add to what you already have and change things up a bit! Have fun!
Clearly I adore jeans, even in the summer, but you could substitute a pair of denim shorts or classic khakis. Kimonos look AMAZING over shorts, wear it longer than your shorts for an edgy look that is suitable for our age. Grab the clothes you see HERE.The thing about a great t-shirt is the ability to layer it! Wear it plain with jewelry and it’s still awesome. So versatile!!A short kimono is sooo essential and perfect for warm weather. It’s still flattering and helps cover the lovely lady parts that may be larger than you wish. Like my booty. 😉
Same tee, different kimono – easy way to change up those graphic tees you love! (Any other Dolly Parton fans out there?)
Same kimono, different tee. If you develop a color palette you love and stick to it when shopping for clothes and jewelry it will really stretch your budget and outfit curating capabilities!Don’t forget the best way to take a casual tee and make it an outfit is JEWELRY! Jewelry makes allllll the difference friends. Get some good neutral pieces you like and mix and match your heart out! Grab the cute jewelry you see in this post HERE in our Mercantile! (plus an inspirational tee helps my mind throughout the day – does it do the same for you?)Don’t be afraid to show those legs ladies, they may not look like they used to, but own it and trust me – attitude changes everything! To tuck in or not to tuck in? That’s the big question for the over 40 crowd. Luckily the half tuck is in style right now, gently tuck your tee into the front of your jeans or shorts and let the back hang loose. This trick helps your outfit look more tailored but doesn’t make you feel so self conscious of your waistline. It’s a forgiving look – especially when paired with a comfy cardigan. (this cardi will let you tie it at the waist or wear long and loose)Whatever you wear make sure YOU like it, make sure YOU feel cute in it and inspirational tees or ones that share your personality are such a fun way to dress! You look the most beautiful when you are being YOU! You’ve got this friend!
