Fall is in full swing in this household and it makes me so happy! It truly is one of the best times of the year– I love the cooler weather, my kids football games, and all of the yummy drinks and treats that come with it– but maybe most of all, the decorating. I mean c’mon, who doesn’t love some good Fall decorating, the tacky Halloween decor you get to pull out of the attic, the cozy, warm-feeling Fall decor and pumpkin spice scented candles. I can almost smell it now.
I can definitely feel overwhelmed during certain seasons, because the decorating can feel chaotic, and there’s sometimes so much pressure to make it “right” or good– the most stressful time being Christmas. We do Christmas a certain way around here, and there’s just not much leeway on that. But, Fall. Oh, sweet Fall. There’s no pressure, no chaos, no craziness, only peaceful, cozy, mix-ins and change-ups. Add a little here, take a little there, and you’re practically done– ready to turn on Practical Magic and enjoy some Sandra Bullock with your hot coffee under a warm blanket!

I already had this yellow door up on my Mantel as a transitional piece for the end of Summer, but I think it’s absolutely perfect for Fall, too! I thrifted it a while back, and it’s actually white and blue chippy on the back, so a double-win!
I paired it with some Rattan & Metal Baskets, a big brown bottle (that I got for so cheap because it had a little chip in it, WIN), pampas grass, and of course, acorn lights. Now I can’t find the exact lights I have anymore, but I found some similar ones here for you!
Keeping it simple for the WIN! It took no time to throw this up, and if you ask me, it’s cozy as ever!
Same goes for the coffee table! You can’t go wrong with some “brownery (greenery, but it’s Fall and it’s brown)” and a pumpkin! Everyone needs a solid fake pumpkin stash that they can move around from year to year! I thrifted the tray underneath, the Stetson box (because it’s my maiden name and that seemed fun), the metal cloche-type piece, and the bowl full of buttons, so it’s not only beautiful, but pretty cost effective too! The “brownery” as I call it is from my yard, so totally free there!
The candle did come from Aldi, and let me tell you, they have some pretty great candles! And not only is it handy to have a wick-trimmer and some matches laying around, but I happen to think it’s pretty cute too! Easy peasy and functional, just my jam!
And for the hutch! I barely had to change anything up here to bring it to life! Decorating with books, always a yes– year-round! Corbels make any space look a little fancier and more put together, and that’s been out almost all Summer! In front of the books and corbel, you’ll find a cigar mold, which is just that touch of vintage the space needed! And it’s simply interesting!
I hung a little french market bag on the drawer– the perfect example of functional and fashionable, on your body or in your home! Of course there has to be a little pumpkin, and next to it a fly trap! Glass goes with anything and everything, and is always great decor to mix in! And lastly, in that plant right there, is a turkey! This metal turkey was, I’m sure, meant to go in a pumpkin, but I personally love adding fun accents to plants! I think this is a sweet way to make a plant look a little more Fall-esque, and it’s super unique and cute, too!
I definitely kept many of the same things out in these spaces, but just added a little Fall here and there, and boom, it’s done! If you want to see me decorate it, you can watch the video here! Now go get started on Fall decorating, what’re you waiting for!?
