It’s Christmas time in the dollhouse y’all! Decorating this little dollhouse for the holidays has become a favorite pastime of mine. It is so fun to order a few new Christmas decorations each year to add to the dollhouse holiday decor stash. I even made a few new things this year. I’d like to thank Miniatures.com for giving me a few new decorations this year and guess what!? I ordered a few extra for a fun giveaway!! Stay with me and I will give ya all the details! Now let’s take a Christmas walk in the dollhouse.
In case you are new here, you can see what my childhood dollhouse looked like when I first started it’s makeover here. It’s come a long way and now I have begun the really fun part of adding details and holiday touches! Miniature Christmas classic books, I LOVE them, you can finds them at miniatures.com. I mean, how fun is The Grinch in mini?I put a few little trees in the kids rooms as well as wreaths on all the windows. I added a touch of ribbon to them to match the decor. The animals are spot on to our real life furry friends since we painted them to match. This year I branched out to the master bedroom with DIY stockings to hang on the fireplace. I just used scrap fabric and cute them out then glued on a scrap fabric trim. Of course no Christmas is complete without a visit from Santa!!! Isn’t he amazing! I got him from miniatures.com.The most important point of Christmas is of course Jesus and this gorgeous mini nativity is the center of attention here, another miniatures.com find! Downstairs the kitchen is alive with the smells of Christmas! A Christmas turkey and pumpkin pie in the oven. The kids stuffing their face with Christmas donuts and tiny gingerbread men cookies, washed down with hot chocolate piled high with whipped cream in the cutest Santa mug ever!!!The tree is decorated and presents await eager little eyes! Of course the kids left cookies for Santa with a sweet note, just like at our house!!! I LOVE this new addition. My childhood dollhouse is all dressed for the Christmas season. I say it all the time, but you really should try your hand at miniatures, they are so fun!!! I have a special giveaway to add to your miniature dollhouse holiday collection. Kim,
Love the doll house. A nice finishing touch would be to place a tiny Scripture Ring perhaps with one word on each tiny card. Faith, Hope, Love. That sort of thing.
Love your posts!
God bless,
