My Christmas Homes Tour

Hi friends! I am excited to have you over for my Christmas home tour! This year I feel like we have been decking the halls for weeks now. We have gradually been adding and decorating the house over a few weeks and it’s been a nice change to the mad one day dash to get it all up.  My Christmas farmhouse homes tour, featuring a sled centerpiece, vintage hat boxes, fresh cut greenery and pops of red and green.

I have added some touches of farmhouse Christmas to the line up this year and I am sharing some other farmhouse style homes today as well. I just know you will get some great inspiration for your holiday decorating.  My Christmas farmhouse homes tour, featuring a sled centerpiece, vintage hat boxes, fresh cut greenery and pops of red and green. While I changed and rearranged this year it’s important you know I spent about $10-$15 on new materials and the rest is just things I had on hand! Christmas doesn’t need to break the bank, that’s not what it’s all about! We have been playing Christmas music non-stop and even having impromptu 12 Days of Christmas sing-alongs on the way to school.  It’s full blow over here. My Christmas farmhouse homes tour, featuring a sled centerpiece, vintage hat boxes, fresh cut greenery and pops of red and green. Our kitchen island is pretty big so this year I am displaying an antique sled smack dab in the middle of it. I am loving this fun new look. Having a Santa and fresh yummies on display when you walk in the door never hurt my feelings! My Christmas farmhouse homes tour, featuring a sled centerpiece, vintage hat boxes, fresh cut greenery and pops of red and green. The kitchen sitting area is an ever changing décor spot. My maiden name is Stetson so you will see Stetson hat boxes all throughout my house. I am so in love with these little holiday boxes. I have heard they were either sample boxes that salesmen used or they held a gift certificate, either way they are one of my favorite Christmas decorations! My Christmas farmhouse homes tour, featuring a sled centerpiece, vintage hat boxes, fresh cut greenery and pops of red and green. Free printables are an easy way to change the look of your decorations in no time for little to no cost. I found this simple printable on my friend Rachel’s blog, Maison de Pax, you can get one here too! What a beautiful message that points to the true meaning of Christmas. My Christmas farmhouse homes tour, featuring a sled centerpiece, vintage hat boxes, fresh cut greenery and pops of red and green. Touches of houndstooth ribbon are my favorite! My yellow door got turned around to show off it’s milder white and blue side this holiday. One day I rested that door on the wall in the kitchen ’till I decide what to do with it and well, I decided to leave it right there. We have loved it ever since! My Christmas farmhouse homes tour, featuring a sled centerpiece, vintage hat boxes, fresh cut greenery and pops of red and green. These little deer have traveled far, lived in many houses and stuck it out with me for about 10 years now. Nothing better than a deer for Christmas! My Christmas farmhouse homes tour, featuring a sled centerpiece, vintage hat boxes, fresh cut greenery and pops of red and green. In our living room is an old piano that we got for our anniversary…because I really wanted a piano! It’s over 100 years old and I think the next time you see it I will have painted it. Poor thing is in rough shape! But today…it looks pretty good all dressed for Christmas. My Christmas farmhouse homes tour, featuring a sled centerpiece, vintage hat boxes, fresh cut greenery and pops of red and green. All the greenery you see is fresh. Want to know my secret to free greenery? Just ask. When we bought our tree they let me have all I wanted from the left over pieces cut off the tree trunks when they prep the tree for a stand. A great big pile of them! My Christmas farmhouse homes tour, featuring a sled centerpiece, vintage hat boxes, fresh cut greenery and pops of red and green. And these green seltzer bottles are a Round Top find, originating  from Hungary. The way the swirled green glass sparkles in the sun makes me smile. The berries are from the yard. My Christmas farmhouse homes tour, featuring a sled centerpiece, vintage hat boxes, fresh cut greenery and pops of red and green. The wooden crate is one I made, you can find the tutorial here. Then there is the heart garland…a project from the Advent study series you can follow along with here! As I look at all the pretty Christmas décor laced through our home I feel joy, but it’s joy from knowing the only reason worth celebrating is our Savior’s birth. And for that I am grateful. My Christmas farmhouse homes tour, featuring a sled centerpiece, vintage hat boxes, fresh cut greenery and pops of red and green. Check back this week and I will share my $3 farmhouse centerpiece you are gonna love. Until then check out my friends and their lovely homes below! Merry Christmas and thank you for coming by! Be sure to save or share before you leave. 🙂

I have not started decorating yet this year. I am painting the ornaments for other people that I need to get done but was seriously considering not doing much decorating this year. I look outside and we have deep snow and -16 degrees this morning. Your Christmas tour may have just been the nudge I needed!

I love that you put your sled right on the counter! You are such a fun mom. Your Stetson hatboxes are completely precious and I love the story behind them. The tip on how to get free greenery is excellent and I am so painting our piano next year, too. Can’t wait to see yours!
