Hi! Well a few weeks ago I shared the beginning of the boy’s bathroom makeover I was working on and today I am sharing two more parts of this cute little room! I think the little touches I’m sharing today can help make any bathroom look better. Hardware adds a finishing touch and fun artwork makes it personal. This free art print will help you if you have a boy’s space to decorate. Thank you to Hickory Hardware for sponsoring this post, the ideas and designs I am sharing are all my own.
First, I want to point out what a game changer cabinet hardware is. Honestly, next to paint it has huge potential to change the feel of a room. It’s the tiny details that helps pull a room together. Hardware adds a feel to a space that people can’t necessarily put their finger on. Here are some other great tips and ideas about hardware that you will want to check out! For the boy’s bathroom I choose a streamlined black finish with a masculine boxy feel called the Bungalow Collection. Hickory Hardware has a huge selection of hardware for your home and there are so many styles, finishes, sizes and their Instagram feed serves up inspiration all the time. You will find lots to choose from on their site! I was able to add hardware to the boy’s bathroom in an hour or so for a completely new feel! Next, I added a fun and personal piece of artwork. Old maps are always great, especially for a rugged boys room, so I got an old map out of my stash (of Texas nonetheless!) and cut it down to fit an old frame I had. The frame got a fresh coat of paint. I covered the frame insert with a fabric taken from an old pair of blue jeans to match the decor in the boy’s bathroom. All I did was glue it to the insert with Fabri-tac glue.
Next I printed out this cute Ready, Aim, Fire saying on the map. Simply download the print here and print on top of colored paper, a map or book page for cute instant art. Be sure to set your paper size to match whatever size paper you use and then run a test print on a test page to make sure you get the layout and size desired. This file is made to print on an 8 1/2 X 11 sheet.
If you are looking to complete a space and make it all your own pay attention to the small details like hardware and artwork, they can really take your decor along! Hope this freebie helps you out. Enjoy.

In the theme of “ready, aim, fire” is that plaid on the wall next to the toilet – fabric?
Kim at Salvaged Living says
yes and I know some people are freaked out by it, but while my boys are crazy they aren’t that bad and the fabric is removable so I can wash it. 🙂
