I love this verse. So often I get my head spinning around what my purpose is in life. Do you ever ask that questions?
Well, this verse answers it. God wants to make us fishers. Fishers of men. Our purpose is to grow the kingdom, how we do that is the question we are really asking. I think this verse answers that questions too. God met these men right in the spot he placed the desires of their heart, in their gift, in their talent. He met them in a boat as the cast nets and scooped in fish. God will meet you in your gift too and then if you are willing to walk with him, he’ll show you how to fish for people. It may be with knitting needles, a pan of fried chicken or the stroke of a paintbrush, but he will reveal the way your purpose walks out if you just let Him!
